Membership Categories

A Professional Member shall be a graduate of an engineering college or university, or a registered Professional Engineer or Architect, with a minimum of three (3) years’ practical experience within the LPG energy sector. This category recognizes technically qualified professionals who demonstrate proven industry competence and commitment to safety, compliance, and professional standards within Zimbabwe’s LPG ecosystem.

A Member shall be a graduate of an engineering college or university or a registered Professional Engineer or Architect. Individuals qualified through significant industry experience or related degrees may petition in writing for full membership consideration. This category ensures inclusivity while maintaining professional and technical integrity across the Association’s membership base.

A Corporate Member shall be a corporation, firm, or institution actively engaged in consulting, manufacturing, distribution, energy-related products and services, or any entity that endorses the policies and objectives of LPGSAZ. Corporate Membership provides organizations with structured industry representation, regulatory engagement, brand visibility, and direct participation in policy-shaping initiatives within the LPG sector.

An Affiliate Member shall be an individual or organization interested in the objectives of the Association but not fully qualified for full membership. This category enables broader industry participation while supporting collaboration and knowledge exchange within the LPG ecosystem.

A Student Member shall be a full-time tertiary student pursuing studies in engineering, architecture, energy, business, law, or related disciplines. Student Membership provides early exposure to industry standards, professional networks, mentorship platforms, and structured training pathways that prepare future industry leaders.

A Retired Member shall be an individual who has retired from full-time employment within the energy or LPG sector but wishes to remain actively engaged in Association activities. This category honors experience and provides a platform for continued contribution through advisory roles, mentorship, and sector participation.

A Young Energy Professional Member shall be an individual under the age of 25 holding a degree in engineering, architecture, business, social sciences, or law. Proof of date of birth must accompany the membership application. This category encourages youth engagement and supports the next generation of energy professionals through training access, networking platforms, and structured industry exposure.

A Charter Life Member shall be a Charter Member who elects to demonstrate long-term commitment by paying a lump sum covering lifetime membership dues. This grade is limited in number as determined by the Founding Members. This status reflects distinguished commitment and long-standing support for the objectives and sustainability of the Association.

LPGSAZ Fellow represents the highest grade of individual membership within the Association. To qualify, an individual must:


• Have maintained continuous LPGSAZ membership for a minimum of five (5) years.
• Have received at least one of the following honors:
>> Induction into the LPGSAZ Energy Managers Hall of Fame.
>> Induction into Legends in Energy.
>> Recipient of a World LPG Association (WLPGA) International Individual Award.
• Have demonstrated exceptional industry distinction through authored publications, patents, awards, or other recognized achievements.

Application will be reviewed and must be approved by the LPGSAZ Fellowship Trustee. This designation reflects excellence, global recognition, and distinguished service to the LPG industry.
